Seal & Stripe Runway « Result #1 on Apr 16, 2009, 8:08am »
I have just scheduled Rain City Striping to seal and stripe the runway on Monday and Tuesday next week (April 20 21). The weather looks like it will cooperate.
The field is going to be shut down during the entire process. John will send out an email to the members shortly.
If you know anyone that is planning on flying on Monday or Tuesday, please pass this on.
FYI once it has the stripes back on, the field is open. It might be Tuesday afternoon.

Sam and Becky are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Sam says to Becky, "Becky, I was wondering - have you ever cheated on me?"
Becky replies, "Oh Sam, why would you ask such a question now? You don't want to ask that question..."
"Yes, Becky, I really want to know. Please..."
"Well, all right. Yes, 3 times..."
"Three? Well, when were they?" he asked.
"Well, Sam, remember when you were 35 years old and you really wanted to start the business on your own and no bank would give you a loan? Remember, then one day the bank president himself came over the house and signed the loan papers, no questions asked?"
"Oh, Becky, you did that for me! I respect you even more than ever, to do such a thing for me. So, when was number 2?"
"Well, Sam, remember when you had that last heart attack and you were needing that very tricky operation, and no surgeon would touch you? Then remember how the doctor came all the way up here, to do the surgery himself, and then you were in good shape again?"
"I can't believe it! Becky, you should do such a thingfor me, to save my l ife. I couldn't have a more wonderful wife. To do such a thing, you must really love me darling. I couldn't be more moved. So, all right then, when was number 3?"
"Well, Sam, remember a few years ago, when you really wanted to be president of the golf club and you were 17 votes short..?" wow Power Leveling wow Power Leveling
Jake was on his deathbed while his wife, Becky, maintained a steady vigil by his side. As she held his fragile hand, her warm tears ran silently down her face, splashed onto his, and roused him from his slumber. He looked up and his pale lips began to quiver with sound.
"My darling Becky," he whispered.
"Hush, my love," she said. "Go back to sleep Shhh! Don't talk."
But he was insistent. "Becky," he said in his tired voice. "I have to talk. I have something I must confess to you."
"There's nothing to confess," replied the weeping Becky. "It's all right. Everything's all right, go to sleep now."
"No, no. I must die in peace, Becky. I slept with your sister, your best friend and our next door neighbor."
Becky mustered a pained smile and stroked his hand. "Hush now Jake, don't torment yourself. I know all about it," she said. "Why do you think I poisoned you?"

Re: Runway length? « Result #4 on Mar 20, 2009, 10:04pm »
For reference: I was out flying on Thursday March 19th. A guy who came buy to measure the runway (was calculating a quote to resurface) measured it at 298 feet.

Re: Member conduct to non-members. « Result #8 on Nov 4, 2008, 7:53pm »
I am a senior navy veteran retired, and went out to the Clark field a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I have never flown an RC plane before, and heard about the field from someone that I bought an RC plane from in Vancouver. I can't begin to tell you how pleasant the experience was. Many members helped with questions, and one expecially helped me with repairing the plane after a first time mishap. I have since had a member help me actually fly on a buddy box, and I learned a lot, although very nervious on those flights. I am more relaxed flying the real thing, but it was a lot of fun, and I have since ordered another RC plane. I guess we all can wake up on the wrong side of the bed once in awhile, but I found the members to be friendly and helpful.

Magnum 28 swap/trade/sale « Result #10 on Sept 23, 2008, 8:01pm »
I have a Magnum .28 that I no longer have a plane for (darn twins). Anyway I am looking for a .15 - 25 size power plant for an ARF I have. I think the .28 would be waaaaay too much power.
Does anyone have a .15 - .25 engine that they would be willing to part with? Maybe we could work something out....
